What to Expect Your first sessions focus on building trust, understanding what brings you to counseling, and exploring your goals. We’ll gather background information and collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to you. Counseling is a process—some sessions feel relieving, others challenging—but each step builds resilience, insight, and a stronger sense of self. Our Approach We use an integrative, trauma-informed framework, drawing from evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. Services Wave on Wave Counseling supports clients through a wide range of life challenges and emotional needs, including: Anxiety Trauma Parenting support Stress Divorce Abandonment Attachment issues Behavioral issues Women’s mental health Career counseling Pregnancy & postpartum support Self-esteem Emotional abuse PTSD Life transitions Sleep or insomnia concerns Caregiver stress & burnout Session Frequency Most clients meet weekly or bi-weekly. Each session offers space to reflect, gain new skills, and recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Fees 15-minute consultation: Free 50-minute psychotherapy session: $110 In-person and telehealth available Payment & Insurance: Credit/debit HSA/FSA (check with your provider) Currently accepting Aetna and Cigna Out-of-network benefits may be available for other carriers. Sliding scale rates available Meet Your Counselor Jennifer Leal, MA, LPC-Associate Graduate of Sam Houston State University with experience in justice-involved populations, outpatient mental health, multisystemic therapy, substance use treatment, and child welfare. Jennifer brings empathy, transparency, and strength to every session.
